Electronic Arts and UEFA today announced the eChampions League, a new FIFA 19 tournament that is part of the road to the World Cup. It is a new and original way for millions of football fans to join the UEFA Champions League through competitive play.
The eChampions League is added to the growing list of global events and competitions on the Road to FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 next summer. The selected players will compete on PlayStation 4 and will participate in the eChampions League Global Online qualifying tournaments on March 2 and 3, from which the 64 best players will advance to the live qualifying event on April 26 and 27.
What will it consist of?
Only eight of the best players in the world will advance to the final of the eChampions League that will take place in Madrid on May 31, just one day before the end of the Champions League of the real football that will be on June 1, creating in this way two days of celebration in digital and traditional football.
To connect the final of the eChampions League with real world competition, all eight competitors must use players from the UEFA Champions League group stage. The winner of the eChampions League will be awarded $ 100,000 of the total prize of $ 280,000 as well as 850 points in the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series.
What do you think about this? Do you think that this type of tournament encourages fans to continue playing FIFA 19? In short yes, but we believe that EA should think more about the other players, those who do not go to competitions and matches like those. And make it more easier to buy FIFA 19 players for fut, what do you think?
